As a pioneer of modern higher education in China, Tianjin University (TJU) has been actively exploring new modes of talent training. In 2020, TJU officially launched the Micro Major program, aiming to promote the reform of talent training with the up to date needs of industrial development. The birth of TJU's first Micro Major is of great guiding significance.
作为中国现代高等教育的先行者，天津大学（TJU）一直在积极探索人才培养的新模式。2020年，天津大学正式启动微专业项目，旨在配合产业发展的最新需求，推动人才培养改革。天津大学第一届微型专业课程的诞生具有重要的指导意义。
Micro Major refers to a group of core courses set up in a concise manner and centering on a specific academic field, research direction or core accomplishment. Learners can acquire certain academic and practice ability in this aspect through flexible and systematic training. Micro Major carry out the lesson both online and offline. Learners who complete the relevant courses and pass the examination will get the Micro Major certification.
微专业是指以特定的学术领域、研究方向或核心成就为中心，以简洁的方式设置的一组核心课程。学习者可以通过灵活、系统的培训，获得这方面的一定的学术和实践能力。Micro Major 在线和离线进行课程。完成相关课程并通过考试的学习者将获得微专业认证。
On November 14, Engineering Project Investment and Financing Micro Major Project Launch Meeting was successfully held in TJU conference building.

Huo Bao-Feng shared in the meeting that Engineering Project Investment and Financing Micro Major was committed to cultivating engineering investment and financing professionals with inter-disciplinary knowledge who had a deep understanding of finance, accounting, law and risk. The College of Management and Economics (CoME) would strive to build it into a Micro Major with phenomenological influence and cultivate a large number of high-level talents in related fields.

Liu Jun-ying introduced that Engineering Project Investment and Financing Micro Major was committed to cultivate innovative talents with complex knowledge background and strategic vision. She said the talents were familiar with project management theory, investment and financing environment, possessed the capacity of making investment and financing decisions, and they were able to manage the project risk in the whole process.
