Our Story
About Us
Gorilla Commerce launched in 2014 under one brand with one product, but we were already dreaming bigger. Our goal was to disrupt the CPG landscape through reinvention. As a direct-to-consumer company that specializes in the development and sale of home, pet and office products, we’ve utilized a consumer centric and data-driven approach to identify gaps between consumer needs and available products in these primary, and other secondary, markets.
Today, Gorilla Commerce is a multimillion dollar business that ranks in the top 10 of private label sellers on Amazon US, to offer functional home, pet and office products. We stand strong with over 10 brands launched, 60 employees and three offices globally.
2014
It all started with a rug pad. Jennifer Bernstein and Marissa Saporta co-found Gorilla Commerce with the launch of the Gorilla Grip Rug Pad.
2015
Sofa Shield, the second Gorilla Commerce brand, is launched.
2016
The team visits China for the first time and establishes relationships with factories and vendors that we still maintain today.
2017
2018
Gorilla Commerce is recognized as a Top 50 Amazon Marketplace Seller.
2019
No more dining room table meetings! The team opens up their first office space.
2020
Trilantic North America acquires substantial interest in Gorilla Commerce and the company opens its first office in Shanghai, China.
2021
Gorilla Commerce opens its second China office in Shenzhen.
Gorilla Gives
Gorilla Commerce is committed to doing our part in making the world a better place. We are a passionate team that wants to make an impact in our communities both local and beyond.
Gorilla Gives is a company-sponsored, 100% employee-run program in which a team of employees will select and plan a charitable initiative for us to support each quarter.
Each quarter, a rotating team of 3-4 employees will join the project leaders to select a charitable initiative and plan the ways that we can support it.
