Glass rotameter is mainly used in various sectors such as chemical industry, petroleum, light industry, medicine, fertilizer, chemical fiber, food, dye, environmental protection and scientific research to measure the flow rate of single-phase non-pulsating (liquid or gaseous) fluids.

Corrosion-resistant flowmeters are mainly used for the detection of the flow rate of corrosive liquid and gaseous media, such as strong acids (except hydrofluoric acid), strong alkalis, oxidants, strong oxidizing acids, organic solvents and other corrosive gases or liquid media.

The measuring cone of the LZB type uses a smooth pheasant glass tube, and the LZJ type uses a reinforced conical glass tube.

 Principle and structure


The main measuring element of the flowmeter is a vertically mounted small and large conical glass tube and a float that can move up and down in the tube. As the fluid flows through the conical glass tube from the bottom up, a pressure difference is created between the top and bottom of the float, and the float rises under this differential pressure. When the rising force, the buoyancy and viscous lift of the float are equal to the gravity of the float, the float is in equilibrium. Therefore, there is a certain proportional relationship between the fluid flow through the flowmeter and the rising height of the float, that is, the flow area of the flowmeter, and the position height of the float can be used as a flow measurement.
