Qingmei Guanghua 2nd Exhibition, Preface
Carrying the respect for the Qingmei academic tradition and the pursuit of continuous innovation in artistic spirit, "Qingmei Guanghua" has opened again.
The artists participating in this year's exhibition include Du Dakai, Liu Jude, and Lu Xiaobo, three senior professors of liberal arts at Tsinghua University. On the basis of the teachers and students participating in the previous exhibition, Wang Yuliang, Zhang Guizhen, Zhang Fuye, Zhang Gan, and five professors from Korea and North Korea were added. A total of more than 100 works by 19 artists from the Qing and American departments were gathered, presenting a rich and lush scene.
Mr. Du Dakai and Mr. Liu Jude have been working tirelessly, and their rich works show their vigorous artistic creativity. Mr. Lu Xiaobo's paintings start from the elegant and handsome red-crowned crane, and the theme extends, revealing a majestic new look. Other participating artists have produced fine works in recent years, covering traditional and modern, contemporary, abstract and figurative art forms, which not only reflect the artists' deep understanding and exquisite skills of traditional ink painting art, but also reflect their exploration and practice in inheritance and innovation.
"Qingmei Guanghua" symbolizes the purity and brilliance of ink painting art, which is not only a visual feast, but also a dialogue and enlightenment of the soul. Welcome to the art world of Qingmei Guanghua and feel the unique charm of contemporary ink painting integrating tradition and innovation.
The word "Guanghua" comes from "The Legend of Shang Shu: The Biography of Yu Xia": "The sun and the moon are glorious, and the day is Fudan", symbolizing light and revival, glory and prosperity. At the turn of winter and spring, we use Mr. Du Dakai's gorgeous pumpkin as a poster to wish everyone a prosperous harvest in the new year.

Preface to the First Exhibition of Qingmei Guanghua
"Guanghua" refers to bright brilliance, shining brightly; shining. "The sun and the moon are shining brightly, and the day is Fudan". Glory; glory. Light, brilliance. A metaphor for talent or spirit. Su Shi said in the "Guangxin Zhai Inscription": "The former saint and the queen saint, benefit me with brilliance".
From the "Guanghua Road" in the Dabei Kiln in the East Third Ring Road to the "Guanghua Road" in the Qinghua Garden, generations of teachers and students of Tsinghua Academy of Fine Arts have traveled on the "Guanghua" road. Pang Xunqin, Zhang Ding, Wu Guanzhong and other gentlemen have passed by for a hundred years, leaving rich artistic works and spiritual wealth for the nation, the country and the world. A generation of Tsinghua Academy of Fine Arts artists represented by Mr. Du Dakai and Mr. Liu Jude have continued to explore the Times Hall Olympics, not only abiding by the national spirit but also accepting the essence of world culture. They take Chinese and Western methods and are very different from the times, forming a distinct artistic style. With a never-ending spirit of exploration, they create fine arts, eulogize the times, eulogize life, and are continuing to write the dazzling "brilliance" of Tsinghua Academy of Fine Arts.
The exhibition is held with the theme of "Qingmei Guanghua", which has a unique emotional factor. "Qingmei" is the abbreviation of Tsinghua Academy of Fine Arts, and from a literal understanding, it also has a unique meaning. "Qing", the original meaning is clear water, clean and clear, as opposed to "turbid". "Mencius" has a sentence "The water of the waves is clear". "Qing" means "Qingming, Qingping, Taiping". When the Qing Dynasty was founded, the country was named "Qing". "Waiting for the clearing of the world" hoped to have "the enlightenment of Qingming and the performance of Qingming", and then there was "Tsinghua". "Qing" has the meaning of cleanliness, purity, innocence, integrity, silence, elegance and nobility. "The whole world is turbid and I am clear" is a rare realm of life. " Qing "also means fragrance, freshness, and mellowness; Zhou Dunyi's" Love Lotus Said "in the Song Dynasty has" incense far and Yiqing ". Du Dakai and Mr. Liu Jude often painted lotus flowers, and Mr. Du's large painting" Leaving Remnant Lotus Listening to the Rain "is the presentation of" Qingmei "thought. Mr. Lu Xiaobo likes to paint cranes, and his" Suyu Dan Head "and" Qingfeng Crane Shadow "can also interpret the elegant and noble quality.
This is the first exhibition of "Qingmei Guanghua" contemporary ink painting, featuring 76 works by Du Dakai, Liu Jude, and Lu Xiaobo, three academic consultants, and 12 young and middle-aged painters nominated. The participating artists are all painters with a deep spirit of exploration. Their works cover a wide range of topics and are exquisite in expression. Basically, they match the character of "Qingmei". "Qingmei Guanghua" does not set a theme, but is a broad academic exhibition. The content ranges from the mountains, rivers and trees in nature, flowers, birds, insects and fish to the human society, people and nature, from microscopic mental images, spiritual totems to the macroscopic universe. Artists are welcome to show a broad creative vision.
"Qing" also means "fine", which represents "pure". I hope "Qing Mei Guanghua" is a purely academic exhibition!
The first exhibition of "Qingmei Guanghua" will be held from December 21, 2019 to January 5, 2020, spanning two eras of the 21st century. It is hoped that "Qingmei Guanghua" will better display the artistic exploration of Qingmei people in the new era, and become a high-level academic platform with high academic standards and aggregate contemporary outstanding artists.

Qingmei Guanghua - The 2nd Contemporary Ink Art Exhibition
Introduction
This exhibition is organized by the Zhang Ding Art Research Center of Tsinghua University, the Institute of Contemporary Art of the Academy of Fine Arts of Tsinghua University, the Yingjie Hard Rock Art Museum in Beijing, and the Oga Art Museum in Beijing. Tsinghua University, senior liberal arts professors Du Dakai, Mr. Liu Jude, Mr. Lu Xiaobo and Professor Zhang Fuye, serve as academic advisors, Professor Zhang Gan, director of the Institute of Contemporary Art of Tsinghua Academy of Fine Arts, serves as the academic host, and artist Liu Hong is the curator. There will be more than 110 ink and wash works by 19 artists including Du Dakai, Liu Jude, Lu Xiaobo, Wang Yuliang, Zhang Guixuan, Zhang Fuye, Zhang Gan and some young and middle-aged artists from Tsinghua Academy of Fine Arts. The works displayed are close to life, rich in themes, academic and exploratory in one body, and will be a "warm and clear flow" of Beijing art exhibitions at the beginning of the new year.
The first "Qingmei Guanghua - Contemporary Ink Art Exhibition" was successfully held at the Oga Art Museum from December 21, 2019 to January 5, 2020. Many media reported it, and the official website of the Academy of Fine Arts of Tsinghua University also reported it, which received a good social response. After the second "Qingmei Guanghua - Contemporary Ink Art Exhibition" was held, it will continue to be held in the future, trying to make this exhibition of Chinese contemporary ink painting have a certain influence and become an academic brand of the "Oga Art Museum".
The name of the exhibition "Qingmei Guanghua" stems from the special feelings of the participating artists towards the "Tsinghua Academy of Fine Arts". Tsinghua Academy of Fine Arts comes from the Central Academy of Arts and Crafts, which was merged into Tsinghua University in 1999. The Central Academy of Arts and Crafts focuses on the decoration, life and modernity of art. A group of century-old art giants such as Pang Xunqin, Zhang Ding and Wu Guanzhong have emerged, leaving rich works of art and spiritual wealth for the nation-state and the world.
