Put 125 ml cold milk and 2 g salt into a bowl. Add 250 ml boiling water. Stir in 57.5 g potato flakes into the liquid. Test the mash after 2 minutes.

Foreign material is defined as any object/material which may become part of the product being produced, which is not designed to be part of such product Foreign Materials Classification: 1. Critical - Those foreign materials that are hazardous in food, that can potentially cause harm to the consumer. 2. Major - Those foreign materials that are not hazardous in food at low levels, but that are objectionable when present in food. 3. Minor - Those foreign materials that are not hazardous in food, but that are unwanted in food but technically unavoidable and the refore tolerated at very low levels (Usually of natural origin)
