It is a good idea to click on your account (top left) and check your notifications settings. This will save you getting a lot of emails.

Keep the Announcements and Conversations notifications on so you get emails. This saves you having to check your Canvas inbox.

At the very bottom of the page (keep scrolling) there is a discussion thread for comments/ideas/feedback.
