This agreement is made on October 21, 2024, between EmpowerHer Diversity Hub (referred to as “the Organization”) and Kirstine Alexandrea L. Co (referred to as “the Advisory Committee Member”). The purpose of this agreement is to outline the roles, responsibilities, and expectations of the Advisory Committee Members for the DiverseStrength Project.

1. Project Overview

The DiverseStrength Project aims to provide young diverse women in London (ages 15-22) with a Self-Defense Program to help them build confidence, learn practical skills, and take control of their safety. The program also aims to foster leadership and self-advocacy among participants. The Advisory Committee plays a crucial role in ensuring the project’s success and alignment with the needs of the community.

2. Role of the Advisory Committee

As a member of the Advisory Committee, you agree to:

Provide guidance and support to the project team.

Offer input and feedback on program design, content, and execution.

Assist with outreach and community engagement efforts.

Act as an ambassador for the DiverseStrength Project, promoting the program within your networks.

Attend Advisory Committee meetings and training as outlined below.

The specific responsibilities of the Advisory Committee Member include:

Recruitment: Each Advisory Committee Member is responsible for recruiting at least 10 participants from among diverse young women (ages 15-22) in London to join the Self-Defense Program.

Promoting the Self-Defense Program: Engage with your networks to encourage participation in the program and recruit more young women.

Program Support: Assist during events, workshops, and training sessions, including participating in facilitation and outreach activities.

4. Time Commitment and Compensation

Meetings and Training:

Attend a one-hour weekly meeting (Friday evening or Saturday morning) over the course of 6-8 weeks.

Participate in a 4-hour "Train the Trainer" session for the Self-Defense Program.

Attend and help train during the Self-Defense Training session.

Engage in outreach activities to recruit participants (1 hour/week over 6 weeks).

Compile the inventory of key community spaces and groups (as listed above) within the first 4 weeks.

Payment:

You will be compensated at a rate of $17.2/hour, for a maximum of 18 hours of work. This includes the time spent on meetings, outreach and support, and training.

Your total time commitment will cover:

1 hour per week for meetings (6-8 hours total)
1 hour per week for outreach and support (6-8 hours total)

4 hours for the "Train the Trainer" session

5. Term of the Agreement

This agreement is valid from October 21,2024 until December 15, 2024 or until the completion of the DiverseStrength Project. Either party may terminate this agreement with written notice of at least 14 days.

6. Confidentiality
Advisory Committee Members agree to keep confidential any sensitive information shared during the course of their involvement with the DiverseStrength Project. This includes, but is not limited to, personal information of participants, internal strategies, and project data.
咨询委员会成员同意对在参与 DiverseStrength 项目过程中共享的任何敏感信息保密。这包括但不限于参与者的个人信息、内部策略和项目数据。
7. Agreement Acknowledgment
By signing below, both parties agree to the terms outlined in this agreement and commit to working together towards the success of the DiverseStrength Project.
