To explore the importance of chemistry teacher education in cultivating qualified teachers

摘要

The purpose of this dissertation is to explore the importance of chemistry teacher education in the process of training qualified teachers. By analyzing the current model and characteristics of chemistry teacher education, combined with practical cases, this paper reveals the key role of teacher education in improving teachers' professional knowledge, teaching skills and professional quality. The results show that effective chemistry teacher education is helpful to cultivate excellent teachers with innovative ability and practical experience, and then promote the improvement of the quality of chemistry education. In view of the current challenges faced by teacher education, this paper also puts forward improvement strategies and suggestions, in order to provide reference for the development of chemistry teacher education in the future.

1. Background

As the cradle of training chemistry teachers, chemistry teacher education plays a pivotal role in the modern education system. With the deepening of education reform and the development of chemistry, chemistry teacher education is facing new opportunities and challenges. On the one hand, the society has put forward higher requirements for the professionalism and teaching ability of chemistry teachers. On the other hand, the traditional model of teacher education has been difficult to adapt to the needs of the new situation. Therefore, it is of great significance to explore the importance of chemistry teacher education to train qualified teachers, and to improve the quality of chemistry education and promote the development of education.

2. Analysis of the current model of chemistry teacher education

At present, the normal education of chemistry in China has formed a training model based on theoretical courses and supplemented by practical links. To a certain extent, this model ensures that normal students have solid professional knowledge of chemistry and basic knowledge of educational theory. However, there are also some shortcomings, such as the disconnection between theory and practice, the single teaching method, and the insufficient cultivation of innovation ability. These problems restrict the improvement of normal students' professional quality and teaching ability, and affect the quality of chemistry teacher education.

3. Practical case analysis

In order to better illustrate the importance of chemistry teacher education, this paper selects the cases of chemistry teacher education in several typical universities or regions at home and abroad for analysis. These case studies illustrate the results and experiences of different types of institutions or regions in implementing effective teacher education strategies. For example, Wang Xiaojuan et al. took "the nature and use of carbon dioxide" as an example to demonstrate the positive effect of inquiry-based teaching on improving the teaching skills of normal students based on chemistry core literacy. They believe that the design of teaching cases for chemistry normal students should be based on the requirements of the current core literacy teaching model, according to the needs of students, to provide students with a broader knowledge and teaching content closer to life as much as possible, to mobilize students' interest and enthusiasm, so that students can develop the ability to look at things from the perspective of chemistry in the learning process, cultivate students' ability to discover and solve problems, as well as logical thinking ability, and then form chemistry core literacy imperceptibly. Du Huirong believes that normal students can train students' advanced teaching skills by carrying out micro-grid teaching skills training from the perspective of core literacy.

4. Discussion on influencing factors and countermeasures

There are many factors that affect the effective implementation of chemistry teacher education, including policy orientation, educational resources, teaching staff, curriculum and so on. In order to improve the quality of chemistry teacher education, this paper puts forward the following improvement measures and suggestions: first, strengthen policy support and capital investment to provide a strong guarantee for teacher education; the second is to optimize the curriculum and teaching content, focusing on the combination of theory and practice; the third is to strengthen the construction of the teaching staff and improve the professional quality and teaching ability of teachers; Fourth, innovative teaching methods and means to stimulate the learning interest and innovative spirit of normal students.

结论

Through an in-depth discussion of chemistry teacher education, this paper reveals its importance in the process of cultivating qualified teachers. Effective chemistry teacher education can not only improve teachers' professional quality and teaching ability, but also promote the improvement of the quality of chemistry education. However, there are still many challenges and deficiencies in chemistry teacher education. Therefore, we need to strengthen policy support and capital investment, optimize the curriculum and teaching content, strengthen the construction of teachers, and innovate teaching methods and means to promote the continuous development and improvement of chemistry teacher education.
