If you do it yourself, then everything will be cheaper, look stunning when worn, and you won't have to wait for pre-orders!

Because, when it comes to fashion fabrics, it doesn't cost much!

10 yuan can make a shawl, 20 yuan can get a vintage wedding dress, 30 yuan can make a mamian skirt or a suit. Even if you buy a Suli cashmere coat (Suli 绒: alpaca wool) for thousands of yuan in a mall, buying the fabric for a hundred or eighty yuan is enough.

HAHAHAHA I really want to get everyone into the sewing hobby. Although it's a deep pit, it's really fun. Moreover, once you can make your own clothes, studying fashion coordination is like a dimensional reduction strike, saving money and satisfying your preferences.

  Recently made some dresses

  shawl

  Fabric: Lace Knit Lightweight Yarn

Cost: 9.5 = Fabric 5 + Trimmings 4.5 (Lace, Fringe, Buttons)

Let me use the latest shawl I made as an example. The fabric is from a blind box of Hanfu fabric I bought, which was 40 catties at the time. This fabric is very light, made of knitted thin yarn. In terms of weight, it costs about 5 yuan.

The accessories are actually used very little, almost negligible, even if added, this shawl would not cost more than 10 yuan.

Wearing Hanfu, cheongsam, or modern dress, a shawl is very practical!

  Cost 9 yuan 5

Key, it's also very simple to do!

It doesn't even take half an hour to finish, so all of you, learn it!

No lockstitch machine? Use a sewing machine! No sewing machine? Hand sewing is also fine!

If you find hand sewing troublesome, just cut it with one snip! Frayed edges are also a style!

Hanfu, qipao, and dresses can all be paired together

  First step:

Let's find a piece of cloth and cut it into a rectangle, with the fabric size: 160*120 cm.

(Effect as shown in the image above, I am 163.5 cm tall, a petite girl, can be made into 150*110 cm)

For the fabric, both thick and thin are fine. For spring and summer, use lace-knitted thin yarn, mink velvet lace, yarn, etc. For autumn and winter styles, you can use fabrics like Chanel style, wool, cashmere, etc.

  Step 2:

Fold the rectangle along the width to become 160*60 cm.

On the folded side, find the midpoint of 160, which is at 80 centimeters.

Measure 5-8 cm wide, cut a long rectangle, and add a bit of curvature at the top. This step is mainly to cut the curve that fits the neck, so the shawl won't easily slip off when worn. The curved part can be cut 随意 ly, as you can see, I cut it very 随意 ly hahaha~ Note: "随意" is a Chinese word that means "casually" or "randomly." It is used twice in the original text, and I have translated it accordingly. However, if you prefer a more natural English expression, it could be replaced with "casually" or "randomly" in both instances.

After cutting, it's in the shape of a poncho, lazy sisters can stop here

  Step 3:

This fabric is very soft and has some elasticity, so it's not easy to finish the edges.

Lace can be used for the treatment, or directly use the binding strip. (But lace will look better)

The lace back and the shawl front are placed facing each other, and sewn with a line. (To save trouble, I used an overlock machine directly, but you can use a sewing machine, hand stitch, or not finish the edges if you prefer.)

After sewing, turn the lace inside and sew another line to secure it, so the lace won't curl up randomly.

  Step 4:

Add tassels, frog closures, etc., according to personal preference.

I think adding tassels to the shawl makes it more lively, so I added white tassels to six corners.

Still on the chest, and an additional button was added to each side.

In this way, you can wear it open if you want, or button it up if you don't, and the sides can also be turned into sleeves.

The shawl is done, isn't it very simple, cheap, and versatile?

  Rabbit horse face skirt

  Fabric: Brocade Silk
  Cost: Fabric 30 pieces

I never thought that, with no foundation and unable to draw, I could actually make a mamian skirt by imitating the measurements of my own mamian skirt! It's even an improved version that doesn't drag on the ground, hahaha!

It's also from the blind box fabric I bought for Hanfu. It's brocade satin. To make a mamian skirt, you need 4 positioning points, plus the waistband and other parts. Buying 5 meters is about right, and you can use the extra to make a bag. If you buy fabric scraps in the live stream, it's roughly 6 yuan per meter, cheaper than sweatshirt fabric.

Of course, this also requires a bit of luck, as well as quick hands and a fast internet connection to snag a beautiful piece of brocade.

However, it does take quite a bit of time and requires a lot of patience, hahaha.

But the sense of achievement from the finished product is very high!

  Alice 格子套装

  Fabric: Corduroy

Cost: 29 units = Fabric 18 + Lining 3 + Trimmings 8 (binding tape, toggle buttons, bow, lace, faux pearls)

I think the color scheme of this set is very Alice. Since it's corduroy fabric for children's clothing, the whole piece of fabric is not large, probably around 2 meters. As shown in the puzzle mentioned above, you can see the outer fabric of this set, which cost me 18 yuan.

Adding all the ingredients and condiments, the whole set doesn't even cost 30 yuan.

For the first attempt, I made a set of a vest and a skirt, so for the inner layer, just wearing a white knitted top would be enough.

Simply, cleanly. Adding lace and bows will give a vintage feel, and with the color scheme being more fairy tale-like, the overall effect is quite romantic.

The bracelet and necklace were also made by myself

  Qianli Jiangshan Set

  Fabric: Double-layered shirting

Cost: 52 units = Fabric 50 + Trims 2 (fringe, buttons, elastic)

To be honest, this is my favorite set of clothes that I have made recently.

Because I really like the 千里江山图, I have bought quite a lot of fabric with 千里江山 elements.

This set of fabric uses double-layer voile, so the cost is a bit higher compared to others. It's about 25 per meter, and 2 meters of fabric were used for this suit. Double-layer voile is quite suitable for spring and summer clothing; it doesn't require a lining and isn't see-through.

After making the Alice outfit above, I found that it was also very comfortable to wear, so I tried making a few different styled outfits.

Adding tassels was a spontaneous idea, and the result was surprisingly delightful

I have always liked wearing dresses, as they are slimming and convenient. After trying a suit, I found it pretty good too.

  Vintage wedding dress

Fabric: Liuli 纱 (Note: "Liuli" is a proper noun, so it remains unchanged. However, "纱" translates to "gauze" in English.) Fabric: Liuli gauze
  Cost: 20 units = Fabric 15 + Trims (Lace 5)

Actually, when I calculate the cost of auxiliary materials, it's really quite difficult, hahaha. So, a pack of tassels costs 12 yuan, with fifty to sixty pieces, so each one is only a few cents. Lace is also a few yuan per large roll, and the cost for one dress is only one or two yuan, which can be ignored. I mean, buying things in the live stream is really too cheap.

This dress, I impulsively decided to turn it into a long-sleeved maxi dress, and to my surprise, the hem ended up being 15 meters in circumference. Without any petticoats, it still has the presence of a wedding gown, hahaha! It looks just like those vintage wedding dresses, and it will definitely look great in photos!

  skirt

  Fabric: Pongee
  Cost: 15 units = Fabric 10 + Lace 5

In spring, I quite like wearing skirts, probably because there are more options to pair with the top.

Sweatshirts, shirts, sweaters, and the like can all be worn casually.

I made a lot of spring-themed skirts, for example, green represents the color of vast grasslands, with blooming rose flowers on them.

Or colorful butterflies, dancing on the skirt~

The colorful patchwork style, also a bright and cheerful spring, can be paired casually with a white top for a very energetic look~

Well, that's all for today's sharing. I also plan to try making a cheongsam, hahaha!

I'll share it with you once it's done~

Currently, quite a few new skirts have been made, just waiting for summer!
