This course facilitates international students to adapt and assimilate into the Malaysian living environment by developing skills in Malay language communications, involving mastery of Bahasa Melayu, in particular everyday conversational Malay.

Academic misconduct is a serious offense in Xiamen University Malaysia. It can be defined as any of the following:

Plagiarism is submitting or presenting someone else’s work, words, ideas, data or information as your own intentionally or unintentionally. This includes incorporating published and unpublished material, whether in manuscript, printed or electronic form into your work without acknowledging the source (the person and the work).

Collusion is two or more people collaborating on a piece of work (in part or whole) which is intended to be wholly individual and passed it off as own individual work.

Cheating is an act of dishonesty or fraud in order to gain an unfair advantage in an assessment. All the assessment submitted must be the outcome of the student. Any form of academic misconduct is a serious offense, which penalized by being given a zero mark for the entire assessment in question or part of the assessment in question. If there is more than one guilty party as in the case of collusion, both you and your collusion partner(s) subjected to the same penalty.

The poster's design and content are up to your group’s creativity. Include relevant information or images, and use any appropriate template for an appealing layout.

Instruction to Students

Form a group with a maximum of 6 members, ensuring a mix of nationalities.

Complete the Team Details file Moodle/MS Teams, including the name of the group leader.

All group members must actively participate and contribute to the poster creation.

Ensure the submission file is under 500MB, as per MS Teams' limitations.

The submission deadline is Week 10, 22nd November 2024, Friday, before 5:00 PM, via ONLINE submission in Microsoft Teams. Late submissions will result in a deduction of ONE (1) mark per day.

Only the group leader will submit the poster on behalf of the team. Ensure all team members' names and ID numbers (as per student ID cards) are included on the assignment cover page.

The group leader must sign the Own Work Declaration section (2nd page of the cover page) on behalf of the team.
